Shannon served on the Midwestern Adult Communication Disorders Group for ten years before founding the Missouri Adult Communication Disorders Group. Her roles included Membership Coordinator, Public Relations Officer, and Website Designer/Editor while she served. She continues to be passionate for adult patient care although her primary role, since 2015, has shifted to working in pediatrics within a St. Louis elementary school. She is proud to carry on the mission of MACDG in this new organization.
Logan served on the Midwestern Adult Communication Disorders Group for 2 years in the role of Conference Coordinator before co-founding the Missouri Adult Communication Disorders Group. Currently, Logan works at DePaul Hospital in Bridgeton MO.
Amy served on the Midwestern Adult Communication Disorders Group from 2014 to 2021 before co-founding the Missouri Adult Communication Disorders Group. She is grateful for MACDG and the connections it makes throughout the St. Louis Region (and beyond). It combines her passion of learning and networking to make strong connections to learn from each other. She is excited to continue the MACDGs legacy as a new era unfolds!
It shall be his/her duty to preside at all meetings and to call special meetings. It is the responsibility of the President to see that all other officers carry out their duties. The President is elected for one-year follow his/her year-long role as vice president. An additional year will be spent in an advisory capacity as Past President for one year.
The Vice-President shall preside at all meetings in the absence of the President and shall be responsible for at least 1 educational meeting along with the Conference Coordinators. The Vice-President assumes the position of President for one additional year and serves as Past-President for one year.
The Treasurer shall be entrusted with the collection and disbursement of the non-profit organization’s funds and shall maintain bank accounts in the name of Missouri Adult Communication Disorders Group with disbursement to be made on the signature of the Treasurer or another member of the Board of Directors, in his/her absence. The treasurer shall be appointed for a two-year term.
The Secretary shall record and file the minutes of all meetings of the non-profit organization, and shall receive and maintain the correspondence and mailing for the organization. The person will maintain and send out educational meeting brochures/announcements. shall be appointed for a two-year term.
Conference Coordinators shall serve as ombudsmen and advisors to the non-profit organization and are responsible for 1-3 educational meetings each year. There can be 2 or more positions. Conference Coordinators are be appointed for a two-year term.
Lauren joined the Missouri Adult Communication Disorders Group in 2021. She serves as Conference Coordinator. Lauren has worked with adults in the medical field of speech-language pathology since ##/##/####.

Angela recently joined the Missouri Adult Communication Disorders Group in 2021. Angela serves as Conference Coordinator. Angela has worked with adults in the medical field of speech-language pathology since 2008. She has experience evaluating and treating adults in acute care, inpatient rehab, extended care, home health, and outpatient. She has a passion for providing evidenced based patient care in order to help patients meet their individual goals.

Christina joined the Missouri Adult Communication Disorders Group in the summer of 2021 just as it had been founded. Christina received her master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Saint Louis University. She has worked in the greater Indianapolis and greater St. Louis regions in skilled nursing, acute rehabilitation, and most recently in acute care. She is passionate about dysphagia diagnostics in medically complex patients, servicing as clinical instructor to multiple graduate students each year, and volunteering as an ASHA S.T.E.P. mentor. She currently serves as Conference Coordinator for MACDG and enjoys bringing high quality, affordable CEUs conference opportunities to local speech-language pathologists.
Website Editor shall serve to keep, manage, and update the non-profit's website www.macdg.org. He or she must communicate clearly and concisely the most recent conference information, manage links for brochures, manage pre-registration links, and ensure all domain fees are paid on time.
The Past-President serves in a non-voting, advisory capacity. He/she attends meetings, serves as mentor to new president and advisor to all officers, assists with educational meetings, and assists with recruiting for new officers. The role is complete in one year.
